Yes, a new year and a new start. We had a quiet Christmas and a busy New Year's. We spent our Christmas with my in-laws, trying to recuperate from our busy shipping season. When Christmas comes, we just want to sleep. It takes about a week to start feeling rested.
New Years Eve is my favorite holiday so we make sure we have a few guests. This year there were 41 for the evening. We played games, ate and visited until after the new year came in. On New Year's day we took our family and the girls from ND who have been visiting and went tubing on the local tubing hill. That was a blast, even though the temperatures had really dropped to about 6 degrees. New Years night we had 30 more for dinner. Some came who couldn't make it the night before, and a few of the locals came back for more fun and games. One of our workers was even able to get in on the fun and games that night.
One of my friends left a blog about her resolution for the new year. Some years I have quite a few but this year I am keeping it more simple. One of the things that is hard for me is learning to serve and yet when it speaks of the new heaven in the bible it speaks of Gods servants serving Him. That is how critical it is to learn to serve cheerfully and willingly. I need to look and see the needs that can be met with my service, willingly & cheerfully.

Yeah! You got up-dated (or should I say WE did!)
I think you must already have a much better "to serve" mode than I...When I read or hear about how much company you have and how often, it makes me ashamed of myself!
