Summer's done and the Holidays are on their way.

We had a great, busy summer. Julie and her boys from Ukraine were our summer guests. We traveled over 5000 miles so had not enough time at home, but is was truly a summer to remember. We had a two week vacation in SD. , Wyoming, and Montana which included Yellowstone Park and Manhattan convention. With 10 of us in the van plus camping gear and convention clothes it was a trip we will not soon forget. Later in the summer we had a weekend at a get-together in Nebraska where Dale and I helped serve as chaperone's for about 45 young professing folks. Then when we found out we could not get a Wisconsin convention the fall, we headed to Vanderbilt in Michigan for four days with just two of the children. That was a special treat.

If you notice the title, we are getting geared of for the holiday season which is the crazy time of the year in the shipping business. If one is not caught of with all the bookkeeping before hand, it will be impossible to catch up later. I got a bit behind this summer and have to get caught up now. I am also selling some medical supplement insurance and the time for open enrollment is just around the corner, so I am getting prepared for that.

Our adult children are doing well. Autumn is managing a Kohl's store in the Chicago area. Kent is into his clinical for nursing and is really excited about finishing his schooling. Dane is working for us and working on a business degree at the local technical college. Blaise is a senior and is busy getting things lined up to attend college next year. Dale and I are really appreciating the fact that we had a second family so that we still can enjoy the things that a parents do with their younger kids. We aren't ready to give that up yet and we can attest that those days go by really fast.
